In late 2016 the Chinese International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (CIMMAF) was formally launched following the announcement that China had become the newest Member nation under the IMMAF umbrella. Following the launch, CIMMAF began its educational duties to the nation’s public at the 2016 International Innovation & Entrepreneur Expo (IIEE) in Beijing. CIMMAF produced a demonstration event showcasing amateur competition, on display for a diverse crowd in the nation’s capital. The action was also streamed live via the China Youth Daily; one of the nation’s biggest online news communities. Event video available HERE. The China Yunnan International Cultural Exchange Foundation is fully supportive of the sport development of MMA for the Greater China market. The project has full provincial governmental support, plus backing from the Directors of WUJIE (Beijing) Sports and Development Company Limited, with whom the federation will be working in partnership to develop regulation, education and the promotion of and about MMA. Under the CIMMAF, Yunnan Broadcasting Television will be organising China’s first ever National Amateur MMA series in Yunnan’s capital city Kunming. The event will be receiving operational support from Malaysia’s promotion MIMMA (under IMMAF Member federation MASMMAA).]]>
