22 to 26 November at the Arena of Sparta in the Czech Republic capital, Prague. As the final hours of registration count down, IMMAF’s Director of International Events, Alistair Pettitt, anticipates a bar raising European Open Championships with new participation records expected to be set at the close of the registration window at midnight AoE (UTC -12). “I’m enthused to see the growth of IMMAF and the participating nations as a whole,” he stated. “Not just from last year’s European Open, but in tandem with the growth of July’s 2016 IMMAF World Championships as well. For the first time we will be welcoming the USA to the European Open, in addition to several other members of IMMAF’s international family from beyond Europe. “We are going to set new records following last year’s European Open Championships, with the addition of new, heavy hitting nations such as Russia, who became an IMMAF member earlier this year. I’m itching to see the final hours of Deadline Day unfold and bring a vast international feel to what is amateur MMA’s flagship European based event.” The 2015 IMMAF European Open Championships took place in Birmingham, UK, and set the bar high with a total of 151 competing athletes from 19 competing nations. Visit IMMAF.org following the close of Deadline Day for more updates on competing nations, plus the athletes and defending championships who will be making their way to Prague. https://vimeo.com/173646643 You can follow live registration at MyNextMatch.com.
