“We are pleased to see such a turnout at the Bangalore Open , the last time we hosted an MMA championship at the same venue we had just under 20 registered participants and maybe not more than 30 guests attending. This event has proved to be a landmark for the sport of Mixed Martial Arts for Bangalore, Karnataka state and even for the entire South India”. 
The event was promoted by Fitness Time and sponsored by FitPro. Spokesman for the promotion team, Raghu Hondadakeri S. said; “We are encouraged to see such talented fighters competing at this platform. After participating at the IMMAF World Championships as a team coach last year in Las Vegas it was my dream along with my other FitPro team mates to create a platform for MMA fighters from the entire south of India. I believe that dream has just started to come true”. Chief AIMMAA supervisor Sharif Bapu was in attendance and reported that all sport, health and safety protocol were met to the required AIMMAA standards at the event. AIMMAA referees at the event were Samuel Lalrozama , Dhruv Chaudhary and Alan Fenandes. Guests at the finals were R. Ruman Baig, BodyBuilding and Fitness celebrities Pani Pur Kitty (Mr World / Mr Universe) and Pavan Shetty (WAMMA World Championship winner), plus Super Model Prateek Jain.
