Jack Shore completed a successful professional MMA debut on march 5 in Gwent, Wales. The Tillery Combat MMA product defeated fellow Welshman Tyler Thomas by way of a rear-naked-choke submission in the opening round. Shore enjoyed the presence of his coach and father who served in his corner, alongside former BAMMA British middleweight champion Jack Marshman who claimed victory in the evening’s main event. Shore ended his amateur career with an undefeated 12-0 record having last competed in Walsall, England, where he claimed the lightweight gold medal at the inaugural IMMAF European Open Championships of Amateur MMA. With 8 submission stoppages among his 12 amateur wins, Shore set himself apart as a submission enthusiast and boasted a trio of first round wins via tapout at the European Open. Representing Team UK he faced opposition from Ireland, Northern Ireland and Bulgaria before besting Norwegian Geir Kare Nyland via unanimous decision in the finals on November 22 . Shore was the second IMMAF medalist to win a professional debut victory over the weekend, with two-time world bantamweight champion Jose Torres forcing an impressive submission stoppage of his own in Washington, USA, on March 4 – click HERE for the video replay.]]>
