IMMAF champion Frans Mlambo scheduled for second pro appearance in Japan

Frans Mlambo will make his second professional appearance next week on January 8th in Tokyo Japan, first reported by SevereMMA.com. The Irishman will compete under the banner of WMA against China’s Changxin Fu whose Sherdog.com record lists a 3-1 professional stint in the Chinese Kung Fu Championships. The exciting Mlambo finished his amateur career with a sweep of four victories to claim the IMMAF 145lb gold medal last July at the Amateur World Championships in Las Vegas, USA. Mlambo made his transition to the professional level on September 19th and knocked out fellow Irish prospect Darren O’Gorman at BAMMA 22 in Dublin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKG4nb13Cfg Via social media the SBG Ireland product stated that he is “proud to be taking KHK MMA to Tokyo!”; KHK being the Bahrain based fight team to which he was scouted by Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad following his success at the IMMAF World Championships. The KHK MMA team was founded and is fully financed by the Sheikh, whose other signings include 2 x IMMAF bantamweight world champion Jose Torres, and UFC standouts Frankie Edgar and Khabib Nurmagomedov.]]>
