The great Fitness Expo and competition event FITBALANCE took place on October 24 in Budapest, Hungary.
Hundreds of athletes from different sports had the chance to represent themselves, their clubs and their brands which made this event a real quality expo, for which the high number of visitors proved the demand.
The Hungarian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (HMMAF) arranged for an amateur MMA competition within the FITBALANCE Expo, and in addition to this, Hector Lombard took part with several seminars and free training sessions.
Hector used his stay in Hungary well and took advantage of opportunities to meet new upcoming talent, participate in training sessions and gave his time to talk to athletes about doping issues
For Hector, this was not his first time in Budapest, as he visited and competed in the city during his Judo career. He really enjoyed his trip and explained that, from his point of view, although there was still a lot of work to do there are some highly talented guys who all have the chance to build a successful international career.
Regarding his doping suspension he answered, “I made a bad decision to take a supplement from someone who wasn’t related to the sport and it cost me money and a year’s suspension. To those young guys out there, take that as an example and check with your coaches and managers before using any supplements.”
During his visit, Hector also offered some financial support to the local Heim Pál children’s hospital.
