Due to demand from members, a women’s lightweight division (-70.3 kg /155 lbs) has been added to IMMAF competition weight categories for all future IMMAF events. The division is now open for the forthcoming IMMAF European Open Championships of Amateur MMA set to take place in Birmingham in the UK, from 19 to 22 November. On request, IMMAF also invited applications from members for women wishing to compete at welterweight. Although some members indicated interest in the category for future events, insufficient applications were received to open it up for the European Championships. For categories that do not currently show, IMMAF policy is to consider opening any of them should there be sufficient demand. A minimum of 2 entrants are required to enable competition in any division. See below for the full list of weight categories to be showcased in the 2015 IMMAF European Open Championships.
