IMMAF veteran making the transition to professional Mixed Martial Arts competition has today been revealed. Italy’s Micol Di Segni, flyweight gold medallist of the 2015 IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA, has been announced as the latest addition to South African promotion, EFC. The 27-year-old will make her professional debut on October 3 at EFC 44, at Carnival City in Johannesburg. Di Segni will face Johannesburg’s own Danella Eliasov, a professional veteran who made her own EFC debut with a first round TKO victory over Hungarian Zita Varju on February 21 at EFC 37, in what was EFC’s first ever women’s contest. Fighting out of Hung Mun MMA Studio in Rome, Di Segni captured the IMMAF world amateur championship in Las Vegas in July, and secured a pair of unanimous decision victories over Michaela Dostolova of the Czech Republic and Sweden’s Anja Saxmark.
