Frans Mlambo will make his professional MMA debut against Darren O’Gorman on Sept. 19 at BAMMA 22 in his home town of Dublin. The bout was discussed on a recent podcast episode at TalkingBrawlsMMA.com and has also been confirmed as professional by the BAMMA Ireland Twitter account, in addition to O’Gorman who expressed his excitement via Facebook. Ireland’s Mlambo claimed featherweight gold in July at the IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA in Las Vegas, and took up residence alongside Conor McGregor and the rest of his SBG Ireland teammates at the “McMansion”. A product of Trials MMA in Cork, Ireland, professional veteran O’Gorman will meet Mlambo in this battle of Irish standouts at Dublin’s 3 Arena. This will mark Mlambo’s first bout as a member of KHK MMA, the Bahrain based fight team coached by John Kavanagh and founded by the prince of Bahrain, H.H. Shaikh Khalid. [/spb_text_block]]]>
