FIGMMA has officially released the results for the 2nd Stage of its National Italian MMA Team Trials that took place on the 18th December 2014. Organized by Stabile Fight Team under Filippo Stabile, the event took place in Milan.
All matches were under IMMAF Amateur 3×3 Rules, which FIGMMA has recently introduced into Italy.
In the 83.9kg category, the winner was Virgiliu Frasineac of Stabile Fight Team with a 3rd round TKO victory over Gabriele Dosi of Bad Boys Sassari.
In the 65.8kg category, Walter Cogliandro of Stabile Fight Team won 2 matches; the first one over Andrea Ziliani of Bad Boys Sassari by TKO, and the second, in the finals against Donato Menegot via Unanimous Decision.
The 70.3kg category was the most stacked division. Here Davide Gregorio La Torre of Stabile Fight Team and Nathan Lelli of Unione Sportiva Imolese Lotta both qualified for the Finals following a Split Draw.
Other athletes that qualified were Gregorio Gentili at 77.1 kg, Paolo Anastasi at -93 kg, Marta Carini at -52.2 kg and Lucrezia Ria at 61.2kg.
