th the IMMAF board approved five membership applications for the representation of Austria, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and Tajikistan. This brings the total number of members to 11 within two months of the official release of the IMMAF. The new members are:
- Austrian Mixed Martial Arts Federation
- German Mixed Martial Arts Federation
- Mixed Martial Arts Federation Ireland
- Swiss Mixed Martial Arts Federation
- Mixed Martial Arts Federation of the Republic of Tajikistan
Several of these applications come from countries in which the key players of the MMA community have united under the common cause of creating a strong national federation. “
We are excited to be growing at this rate and humbled by the dedication of these representatives when working together with the IMMAF team to ensure the best possible outcome in their respective countries” says President August Wallén.
“We’re also happy to welcome our first member from Asia into the IMMAF family. Personally I am particularly pleased to note that the Tajik federation is the first member that has gained official recognition by an Olympic committee. This goes to show that MMA is in fact gaining more ground in the global sports community every day and it sets a great example for other countries.” Austria, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and Tajikistan join Belgium, Canada, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal and Sweden as members of IMMAF. Later in the week interviews with some of the new member federations will be posted on the web page. ### Contact information : Erika Mattsson, Director of Communications Email:
