Sanctioned MMA reaches rural India

Regional organisers JFL recently completed a breakthrough Amateur MMA event in the rural north eastern area of India. The All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) informed of their involvement in sanctioning the day’s competition, following notification from the governing body’s regional head of North East India. As India’s national member to the IMMAF, AIMMAA is officially recognised and supported by the Indian government. The recent JFL event is seen as a breakthrough moment as the first of its kind in India’s North East, which is one of the nation’s most underdeveloped regions with rich heritage and incredible scenic views. AIMMAA regional head Samuel Lalrozama, who served as a referee at the IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA, was the chief organiser of the event.
