The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) is looking for legal and arbitration specialists, with a passion for sport, to be part of volunteer Panels to assist the independent Arbitration Committee with case management and hearings, in accordance with the IMMAF Statutes https://immaf.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/IMMAF-Statutes-2021-Edition_Final.pdf
In addition, the IMMAF Disciplinary Committee is looking for suitably qualified volunteers for an advisory panel to support the Committee on an ad-hoc basis.
The IMMAF Disciplinary Committee is responsible for the management and resolution of any asserted violations of the IMMAF Code of Ethics and other IMMAF Rules and Procedures, except for asserted violations of anti-doping rules which will come under the jurisdiction of a separate IMMAF Anti-doping Disciplinary Committee.
Any complaints, disputes or appeals arising from decisions of the IMMAF Disciplinary Committee are considered by the IMMAF Arbitration Panel, which is a separate body, independent of the Disciplinary Committee.
The IMMAF Arbitration Committee is required to establish a pool of Arbitrators with recognised competence with regards to sport and alternative dispute resolution procedures, including expertise in Anti-doping Rules (ADR).
IMMAF Arbitrators are appointed by the Chairman of the Arbitration Committee with the aim of ensuring a wide geographical and gender representation for individual Hearing Panels.
Although IMMAF is registered in Switzerland, IMMAF encourages applicants from all over the world. While knowledge of English is essential, as all cases are currently heard in English, other language skills will be an advantage as IMMAF’s global footprint continues to grow.
