Finland’s Tuukka Repo was sadly forced to withdraw from competing last week at “Cage 32” in Helsinki, Finland. The October 23 card was set to mark the professional debut of Repo, an amateur veteran who claimed silver at July’s IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA in Las Vegas, USA. Repo achieved three impressive victories at the IMMAF World Championships. from July 7-9 he accumulated consecutive wins on each day before eventually losing a unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards after going the distance with the UK’s Josh Ellis who claimed the gold medal on July 11. Repo was expected to face fellow professional debutant Dennis Olofsson of Sweden, but revealed his withdrawal on October 15 via Facebook. The injury is currently undisclosed, however the fighter’s coach informed IMMAF that he should be back and ready for competition in six months’ time. IMMAF would like to wish Tuukka a good recovery.
