Brown Congratulates 257 Athletes Registered for 2016 IMMAF Worlds

Registration for the 2016 IMMAF World Championships at UFC Fight Week is now complete, with 257 athletes and 40 countries entered, totalling record numbers for IMMAF. Each weight class was capped at 32 entries, with space for reserves. Registered athletes are now to undergo clearance by IMMAF, UMMAF, Safe MMA, Tuff-N-Uff and the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The process will include checks to verify participants’ Amateur status and medical clearance. Countries registered for the first time in an IMMAF championship event include; Russia, Cameroon, Australia, Nepal, Colombia, Spain, Georgia and new (TBA) member Trinidad & Tobago. The tournament registration and draw is being managed by software partner MyNextMatch, where entries publicly available to view live as they came in.
